Tattoo Request
I’m Lauren Tedder, a second-generation tattooer and co-owner of The Custom Tattoo Company in Havelock, NC. My dad built this shop in ’83, and I’ve been in it my whole life. This isn’t something I picked up. It’s something I was raised on.
I work across Traditional Americana, dotwork, and fineline. From bold panthers and eagles to intricate mandalas and delicate botanicals. I’ve tattooed in Corsica, Atlanta, and now back home where it all started. Every piece I do is built on the foundation my father laid down.
I’m based in Havelock, NC at The Custom Tattoo Company and I travel regularly for conventions and guest spots throughout Virginia and the Southeast. Walk-ins are welcome at the shop whenever I’m free.
Whether it’s a bold traditional piece off the wall or a custom fineline design, I approach every tattoo the same way: with respect for the craft and a plan that makes sense. Clients know what to expect before we start, and I work efficiently so the experience is as solid as the tattoo.
Tattooing is my family’s trade. My dad was a living legend in this industry, and carrying that forward is something I take seriously. I’m not just keeping the lights on, I’m building on a 40-year legacy with my own hands, my own style, and a shop full of artists who get it.
Booking and Travel
Custom projects are booked by appointment and planned in advance. Each project starts with a consultation, in person if you’re local, or by phone if you’re not. We’ll work out the scope, timeline, and cost upfront so there are no surprises once we get started.
